Bruin Contracting brings skill, extensive know-how, best practices, and a collaborative, can-do attitude to every project. Words that clients use to describe our work are meticulous, well-crafted, thoughtful, and creative. Owner Steve Delane pursued his love of home design from a young age with a diploma in Architectural Technology at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. After graduation, he had an opportunity to jump on the tools, fell in love with bringing ideas to fruition, and never looked back. He made his way to Whistler, where he has worked for 20+ years working on commercial & residential projects. Steve earned his Journeyman / Red Seal carpentry ticket, and has worked as a lead carpenter, project manager, and site supervisor on many high end builds and renovations in Whistler, Squamish, Pemberton, the Gulf Islands, and North Vancouver. In doing so, he has developed a keen eye for detail, high standards and excellent problem solving skills.

Steve became a licensed builder to work with like-minded clients on projects that are interesting and exciting, while mentoring and training a team of like-minded people who also love living and working in the Sea to Sky corridor. Steve lives in Squamish with his partner and daughter, and is also building a residential property on Gambier Island. Steve loves skiing, paragliding, dirt biking, snowmobiling, and building beautiful homes.
